Assessment of this achievement standard at the correspondence school requires video of two games of refereed rugby league, separated by several weeks.
Students are required to self-assess and have a peer assess them against a standard set of performance criteria (the rubric). This is just a collection of ticks and a signature.
Students are also required to develop a set of KPGs (Key performance Goals) which are also self and peer assessed in each of the two games.
The two videos provided for assessment should be accompanied by information as to which side the student is on, their jersey number and playing position, and when the student appears in the video and what he/she is doing at the time e.g “6:05 tackles”
It is also helpful to provide a brief playing CV. A student who has made a national age group team can expect excellence in this achievement standard if he/she provides the correspondence school with decent video.
The student is assessed against the performance of a year 13 (first thirteen) student in the inter-school competition.
Ideally, the video would be of a game late in 2018 and a competition or trial game early in 2019. But two 2019 games separated by several weeks are quite adequate.
